Holiday cards :-) and Merry Christmas!

As usual, Christmas just snuck up on me this year. I just wanted to share a few of the cards that I made that went out to friends and family. May you all have a very happy, healthy, and safe Holiday!

The 3x3 version of my That's Amore and Heartfelt Christmas card:

Here is the 4x6 version that was mailed out:

Here is the traditional card that went out-

And a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 version of the Elf card I made last year:

And some Holiday Cheer- my pups, Midori and Sauza:

On the Twelfth Day of Christmas...

... my CTMH Consultant gave to me: Lots of wishes for a very happy, healthy, and wonderful Holiday with your friends and family!

I also wanted to share with you my big project that I have been working on! I had to wait until today so that my Mom would not see it before she unwrapped it! I bought the blank Event Calendar, and the rest was up to me- the only thing preprinted was the month and days- I scrapped/embellished the rest!

Each month has family and friends birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, etc. Since this is meant to be used year after year, the floating holidays are not included (Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Labor Day, and Thanksgiving). To protect privacy, these pictures have the birthdays and anniversaries whited-out. Thank you for your understanding!

Here is the cover, January, February, and March (click on the image to make it bigger):

January: Snow Friends, Please Join Us, Aspen Paper:

February: Just Because, Soul Mates, Perfect Day Paper:

March: Best Friend Doggie, So Sweet Seasons, Stardust Paper:

I separated the posts to make the lables easier to add...

I truly wish you all a blessed holiday! From the bottom of my heart, lots of love,

Too Early for Christmas?

Is it too early for Christmas cards? NEVER!

It did not turn out exactly how I envisioned it, but the concept has been "floating around" in my head since I got this cute set! Maybe I was just trying to justify buying a set called "Nursery Bash" when I have no nursery, or kids for that matter. But I have found many other uses for it!

Remember those oragami Christmas Trees that were so popular last year? Well, it's baaaaack! Okay, I know I talk (or write, in this case) too much, so here is my fun card from this weekend:

The corners say "happy holidays" and have the square sparkles in between the words. There are also tiny sparkles in the corner of the Aspen paper! And for extra BLING, there is glitter on the dots on the tree, and covering the entire star! I love things to sparkle and shimmmer!

Paper: Aspen (for the background), Perfect Day (juniper dotted B&T for the tree)
Cardstock: Bamboo Textured (for the card base), White Daisy Textured (for the matting), Baby Pink Textured (for the piggies), Taffy Textured (for the giraffe), Sunkiss textured (for the star) , Desert Sand Textured (tree trunk)
Stamps: Nursery Bash, Seasonal Thouoghts (mini "Happy Holidays"), Make A Wish Booking Set (star)
Ink: Hollyhock (piggies), Creme Brulee (star and marker to darken the giraffe), Sorbet (giraffe spots and hair), Tulip (hat), Outdoor Denium (words)
Sparkles, Glitter, 3D Foam Squares

Here is the inside:

Stamp: December Word Puzzle
Ink: Outdoor Denium, Juniper, Creme Brulee
Sponge

I love how the mini trees inside have dots on them just like the B&T paper used for the tree on the front! Here is a side-view to see that the piggies, giraffe, and star are paper-pieced and are 3-D with foam squares- and don't forget that cool tree!

There is a new template that Jeanette (CTMH founder) just put up on her blog... maybe I will try that one today.. (www.jeanettelynton.com if you are interested in trying, too). I will post what I come up with!

Have a great day, and thanks for looking!

Love these little elves!

The great thing about Football Sunday is that I can listen to the games and play with my stamps at the same time (not that I have a choice in listening... It is the only thing that is on in our house from pregame shows at 8:00 AM through the late game until at least 9:00 PM).

So on my last order, at the last minute, I bought the December Word Puzzle. I am not sure why I even bought it- I am not really into the word puzzles, but I am SO GLAD I DID! Oh My Gosh- I think this is my new favorite stamp set, I can see myself using this on everything and in so many different ways. It is definitely one of the most versital holiday sets I think CTMH came out with this year...

Of course, I also had to play with those cute little elves from Merry Pursuits =] Here are some of the cards I came up with today:

I embossed the little elf with black embossing powder and colored him in. Then I used liquid glass and glitter on the lights.
Inside the card:

This one is with the new Creative Basics Evensong paper. I embossed the elf again and colored him in. I also stamped on the ribbon. The full saying is on the inside of the card.

On this one I just stamped the elf and colored him in, and then cut him out (thank goodness for microtip scissors). He is on 3D foam squares, so it is "dimensional". I also used glitter on the snow and the Dec. Word Puzzle on the inside:

One more- real basic. I used Magical Season for this one:

That's all for tonight... I am going to watch the rest of the Cowboys game- it looks like they are going to win this one! GO ROMO!

Lots of Love,
