Another take on Wishes: Keep it Level

Here is another card using the Wishes: Keep it Level template. I used the template exactly and love how it turned out. I used the new Animal Cookies Creative Basics and played around with dry embossing/sanding the verticle lines on the Sunflower cardstock. This is for our friends who just had their first baby! Congrats to them!!! It's hard to see, but the word "baby" is stamped in the upper right corner (from the Random Thoughts set). I also used Express Postage to customize the birthday.

• Stamp Sets: Express Postage, Random Thoughts
• Creative Basic Animal Cookies
• Ink Colors: Dutch Blue Cocoa, Sunflower
• White Grosgrain ribbon, Coluzzle

New Jeanette Lynton Template!

Jeanette Lynton, the founder of Close to my Heart, recently started her own blog. The other day she posted a new Originals template, so of course I had to try it out.

Our great friends announced the other night at dinner that they are expecting their first child! We are SOOO happy for them, so I thought this would be a great template to use for their "Congratulations" card!

Paper: Life Delights striped B&T
Textured Cardstock: Chocolate, Sweet Leaf, Colonial White
Stamps: Express Postage (July08 SOTM), Random Thoughts, Treasure Life (Sept08 SOTM)
Ink: Chocolate, Sweet Leaf, Blush, Lilac Mist
Blush Edge Anchors, Chocolate Ribbon, Twill Ribbon, Chocolate Brad, paper flower, Coluzzle circle template, edge distressor

And here it is with the insert pulled out:

I hope you all had a GREAT weekend! Lots of Love,
