CTMH Spring/Summer 2011 Blog Hop!

It's that time again- Close to my Heart is releasing a new Idea Book and a group of fabulous consultants are here to give you a sneak peak of some of the fabulous new products! Be sure to check out all the blogs at the bottom of this post!

I know when most people first see the paper packet, Bliss, many are going to immediately think weddings. But for me, it is all about BABY now a days, and I knew this paper would be perfect for Aubrey's first pictures. Pair it with the Bohemian Alphabet, and WOW. since the paper is so neutral, you can add any accent color to match your photos- for me, it was Grey Wool and Baby Pink:

Paper: Bliss, Grey Wool and Baby Pink Cardstock
Stamps: Bohemian Alphabet, Chocolate Alphabet Small
Embellishments: Bliss Stickease, Opaques (Licorice, Pearl), Dimensional Elements- Irresistibles Villa, liquid glass, glitz glitter gel, sponge dabbers, colonial white ribbon.

As with most of my projects, this did not turn out as I had originally planned- originally these were going to be companion layouts ("Perfect little fingers, precious tiny toes, bright shining eyes, cute button nose"), but as I worked on the second page, the text blocks I made just did not fit. so back to the drawing board for a different page, but overall I love the way these turned out!
I liked that I could use the flower and vine in the alphabet set to accent the pink cardstock, too. The new irresistable chipboard is also fun to work with and customize with ink.

Welcome, Aubrey!

I just wanted to share some pictures of my precious baby girl, Aubrey! She is an absolute joy (despite those sleepless nights), and I just love to hold her and just stare at her! More to come:

I interupt your card-viewing to let you know my precious baby girl, Aubrey, made her grand entrance into the world on December 8, 2010! She is an absolute precious bundle of joy! I will schedule more card posts when we are home. Just had to share my happiness!

BIG News, and Triple Play, too!

Our family has big news to share- I am pregnant! Eric and I are so incredibly excited! The weekend of our 18 week ultrasound, my mom flew out to be with us when we got a peak at our baby and to find out what we were having (first grandchild on both sides, I think she was just as excited as we were)! Imagine my surprise when the morning of the appointment, and my DAD walks in! He took the first flight out that morning, and even though he could only be here a few hours, it was the greatest surprise ever!
All four of us went to breakfast and then to the appointment. We were so happy to see our baby, happily moving around on the screen in front of us. And then we found out- IT'S A GIRL! And best of all, both baby and I are doing great- all her measurements and her heartbeat are right where they need to be!
I really wanted to capture just a few of the pictures from that weekend in one little place, and honestly, as soon as I saw Triple Play, I knew that was it! the Pink one is perfect for our exciting news:
