Miracle! National Scrapbooking Month Kit!

I am sure you knew May was National Scrapbooking Month, and as always, CTMH came out with an awesome promotion! The best part- the kit only cost me $5 and it makes 2 completed double-page spread layouts! I know it sounds cliche, but it was so quick and easy to put these pages together, that honestly, the hardest part was picking out which photos I was going to use for these pages. But once I saw how the colors are perfect with these great pictures of my grandparents at my wedding (my grandma passed away a few years ago, which makes this even more special for me), this just came together for me! I absolutely adore how these came out, and I even have a little extra paper from the kit to make some cards. Of course, I will be ordering more of these for additional family pages in my wedding album!

Whoops, forgot to post this Easter Card!

One more Easter Card- I cannot believe I forgot to post this! I am loving the Topstitch paper, and used that adorable Bunny Love stamp set! The easter eggs on the front are on foam squares cut in half. Unfortunately, my waterbrush was a little too-watery and the coloring on the bunny was not as sharp as I would have liked. But I am still happy with the card!



The template used is my own little modified version of Originals: Diamond Stack (rotated). Stay tuned this week for a peak at Miracle, the new promotion! OMG, it is amazing! Happy Creating everyone!

I have always known that Close to my Heart is a wonderful company, but when I read this post on Jeanette Lynton's blog (founder of CTMH), I almost needed a tissue (okay, for those that know me, of COURSE I needed a tissue)...

It amazes me and touches my heart that a few small actions partnered with dedication and passion can have such great results. I am proud to be affiliated with such a great company, and humbled by the generousity of others.

I hope each of you become inspired to do something that touches someones heart today! Even if it is as simple as holding the door open for someone, smiling and asking how your cashier is doing, or even "paying it forward" at your local coffee shop (I once personally witnessed this while studying in the corner at a starbucks one day... it was AMAZING), you will be amazed at how great you feel, and how others will feel, too.

A little late for Valentine's Day (oh, and a little blurry), but here is another fun, very simple 3x3 card I made!

Veranda crazy!

Can I tell you how much I love the Veranda Creative Basics paper? I used it two months in a row when cropping with my friends (Hi Sharon, Diane, and Wendy!!) First up was Thank you cards, and then the colors were perfect for Easter, too!

For the Thank you card, I used the flourish from the Felicity stamp set (January 2010 promotion). The ribbon comes with the creative basics kit- so handy! I am really into the rock-n-roll effect lately. I also 2nd generation-stamped the flourish inside and used a sentiment from Thank You. The Template is Wishes- Sentiment Secured (upside down).


I can't believe Easter is around the corner, but at least I have one card made! Same paper, different effect! The stamp set is Easter Eggs (Feb. 2009 SOTM), and I used Eastertime for the inside (more rock-n-roll coloring, surprise surprise)! I used the corner rounder to scallop the edge, and of course, had to bling it up a bit! The template is based on Wishes- All Stacked Up, but I changed it a little to fit the card dimensions.

Spring has sprung and I am getting the creative "itch"! Just wanted to share a cute 3x3 card that I made for two of my friends. They hold a small sheet of Bitty Sparkels (which is currently my favorite embellishment!) I also had to use the March SOTM, A Little Everything. I LOVE this font so I am sure you are going to see it again in my posts! I also had to break out those little butterflies in the new Just Blooms- with of course, Sparkles!! Happy Creating!
